How do I become a member of the Library Association of Bermuda?

As an individual, you can join by downloading a membership form available here and email it to the Executive Committee.

What are the benefits to membership?

The Library Association of Bermuda Personal Membership Benefits include:

  • Access to the Bermuda College Library Professional Development Collection;
  • Professional Development opportunities provided by the LAB including the benefit of applying for a bursary for conference attendance and training;
  • Ten committees provide leadership opportunities and respond to the special interests of our public, academic, special, and school library members;
  • Voting members receive these benefits, plus the ability to vote and/or run in elections, as well as the opportunity to serve on committees.
How long does my membership last?

All LAB memberships are renewable annually.

How can I get more involved in the Library Association of Bermuda?

There are numerous ways to become more involved in LAB. First, we recommend that you join and/or create an Interest Group, volunteer for a LAB Committee, or even run for an Executive position in our annual election.

What documents govern the the Association?

The Library Association of Bermuda has a constitution and bylaws, which set its structure, membership categories and policies.

How often does the Library Association meet?

The Association meets quarterly.
